SUMMER 2027 ENROLLMENT IS OPEN

FAITH, REFLECTION AND INDIVIDUAL NEEDS

Religious Support.
Respect for Personal Beliefs.

Extreme Military Challenge! (XMC) respects the religious beliefs and personal values of every Challenger. Families should communicate specific religious needs before training begins so that accommodations can be considered.

WEEKEND PROGRAM

Moral Leadership and Personal Reflection

Cadre lead a non-denominational Moral Leadership lesson on weekends to discuss values, beliefs and personal responsibility. It is not instruction in a particular religion. Challengers who normally attend services receive a brief period for individual reflection afterward.

Respect for Every Faith

Individual beliefs are respected. XMC considers specific needs within the demands of training, staffing and facilities.

Prayer and Reflection

Reasonable efforts are made to accommodate prayer and religious practices throughout training when possible.

Faith-Specific Services

Camp Liberty is in an extremely rural area, and transportation is limited. XMC cannot provide separate worship services for the individual needs of every Challenger.

OUR COMMAND CHAPLAIN

CH (CPT) Royce Raymond, XMC

Command Chaplain, Extreme Military Challenge!

Chaplain Raymond is the Command Chaplain for Extreme Military Challenge! (XMC), providing pastoral care, spiritual guidance and moral support to Challengers and Cadre from a range of faith backgrounds.

On Call Throughout the Seven-Week Training Mission

Although Chaplain Raymond is not physically at Camp Liberty for the entire seven-week Training Mission, he is available on call 24 hours a day, seven days a week for video calls. Camp leadership can coordinate a video conversation when a Challenger or member of the Cadre needs spiritual counsel or support.

Families should contact XMC Admissions for assistance coordinating access through camp leadership.

Chaplaincy Background

Chaplain Raymond previously served as an Army chaplain and now serves as a correctional chaplain. He continues to provide spiritual counseling and life coaching, bringing that experience to the XMC training community.

FAMILY PREPARATION

Request Accommodations in Advance.

Describe religious requirements in the application or contact Admissions no later than 30 days before the program begins. Early notice helps XMC consider arrangements for observances, prayer and meals. Accommodations depend on what can reasonably be provided during training.

Religious and medically required meal exceptions should be requested in advance through the applicable enrollment and health-information process.

SERIOUS FAMILY EMERGENCIES

Spiritual Support When It Is Needed Most.

For serious emergencies, including a death in the family, camp leadership makes every effort to arrange on-site spiritual support through the local religious community when available and appropriate.

Families should contact XMC Headquarters directly about a death notification or other extreme emergency. Family Emergency Communications ↗
