01 / THE MISSION

From the First Blueprint to the Finished Project.

Science. Technology. Engineering. Math. Cadets connect classroom learning with practical work, applying ideas as they plan, inspect and build together.

The course begins with four days of classroom training, where Cadets learn the fundamentals of engineering, including blueprint reading, project planning, construction safety, and the complete lifecycle of a construction project—from initial concept to final completion. Instruction is designed to provide practical skills that are valuable whether a Cadet pursues a military or civilian career.

CADET ENGINEER COURSE - 3 Weeks

The three-week Cadet Engineer Course provides an immersive introduction to military and civilian engineering principles through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on construction experience.

Following the classroom phase, Cadets apply their knowledge by completing a capstone construction project under the guidance of experienced military and civilian engineers. Working as a team in a realistic military training environment, participants gain firsthand experience while developing leadership, accountability, and problem-solving skills.

Areas of instruction include:

Engineering career pathways

Blueprint reading and interpretation

Project planning and management

Construction safety planning

Structural and bridge design fundamentals

Physical security planning

Basic electrical wiring principles

Basic plumbing principles

Carpentry skills

Heavy equipment familiarization and operation

Throughout the course, Cadets are challenged to think like military engineers by planning, constructing, and securing their project while operating in a disciplined, mission-focused environment. The result is a demanding, practical program that builds technical knowledge, confidence, teamwork, and leadership.
