SUMMER 2027 ENROLLMENT IS OPEN

FOR EXPERIENCED XMC GRADUATES

Your Next Mission.
Practical Experience.

The Cadet to Active Duty Internship Program puts the transition between high school and military training or college to work at Camp Liberty.

Who Can Apply?

High-school graduates with six or more weeks of XMC Cadet training may apply if they are contracted in the Delayed Entry Program (DEP) and awaiting Basic Training, or preparing to begin college.

The program offers up to five internships, for up to 60 days, with extensions possible. Ask Admissions about current openings and an assignment that fits your availability. This is a civilian Camp Liberty internship; it does not constitute active-duty military service.

Live, Work and Learn.

Internships are full-time, residential and uniformed. Work areas include public affairs, communications, facilities and food service. When possible, assignments align with the intern’s future military career.

  • Room and board for up to 60 days.
  • Uniforms, tools and equipment provided; military grooming standards apply.
  • On-the-job training and practical experience.
  • Military-career mentoring and counseling.
  • Letters of recommendation for ROTC, service academies and special programs.

Completion Stipend.

A $2,500 completion stipend is offered upon successful completion of 60 days. Confirm the assignment, dates, completion requirements and any extension arrangements with Admissions before accepting a placement.
