01 / THE MISSION
Graduates of the Cadet Field Leader Course build on their Basic Training and leadership foundation by serving in student leadership and instructional-support roles. The Advanced Cadet Field Leader Course develops the ability to demonstrate skills, communicate clearly and help other Challengers learn.
Experienced Cadre provide individual training and mentorship. Assignments depend on the Cadet’s performance, maturity, interests and readiness. Cadre supervise the work and retain responsibility for training.
TRAINING & MENTORSHIP
Assist CFLC instructors, demonstrate individual skills and support practical exercises under Cadre supervision. Develop clear instructions, preparation and the ability to reinforce standards.
Mentor other Challengers and practice teamwork, communication and responsibility. Individual coaching helps each participant build on the leadership skills learned in CBT and CFLC.
Depending on qualifications, maturity and program needs, approved support roles may include Basic Training, medical training support, operations or public affairs. Discuss a proposed placement with Admissions before enrolling.
CFLC graduation is the required foundation. Selection and duties are based on demonstrated performance and maturity; participation is not an automatic staff appointment.
The current schedule lists two-week sessions. A Cadet may request both consecutive sessions for a four-week experience, subject to placement approval and available spaces. Review each session’s current tuition and dates before enrolling.
