LIVING AT CAMP

Shared routines and clear expectations reinforce discipline and personal responsibility.

WHERE CHALLENGERS LIVE AND TRAIN

A Real Camp.
A Clear Living Standard.

Separate Accommodation.

Male and female Challengers are housed in completely separate buildings. Recruits generally live in open-bay barracks; smaller bunkrooms support appropriate Advanced programs. Air-conditioned barracks and latrines with private shower and toilet stalls support daily life at Camp Liberty.

Daily Standards. Regular Care.

Challengers share responsibility for their racks, wall lockers and living areas. Barracks are inspected daily, linens are rotated weekly, and the facilities are maintained by year-round staff. Daily cleaning and inspection complement the program's weekly sanitation and disinfecting routine.

A Place Built for Training.

The 75-acre Camp Liberty property in Battleground, Alabama brings together air-conditioned barracks, classrooms and Dining Facility; a Medical Aid Station; chapel and gathering spaces; outdoor training and recreation areas; and an on-site pool. The Medical Aid Station building was added in 2021.

Our campus has approximately 300 beds across open-bay barracks and smaller bunkrooms. Room assignments and enrollment capacity depend on the current program.

TRAINING SPACES

Classroom instruction and hands-on activities connect learning to practical experience.

Training Facilities with Clear Boundaries.

Training spaces are assigned by course and instructor direction. Review the Distinct Range and Non-live-fire Shoot-house Facilities Below.

Some course activities take place at partner or off-site locations. Not every activity or facility is used by every course.

ON CAMP LIBERTY

Different Spaces.
Distinct Training Purposes.

Physical and Field Training.

An obstacle course, field-training locations, low-ropes activities, pugil-stick and martial-arts training areas, a half-mile track and a physical-fitness field support progressively demanding instruction. Scheduled activity use depends on the course and training plan.

Two Separate Range Environments.

The separate marksmanship range has eight lanes spanning 5–100 meters and supports approved live-fire activities under qualified supervision. The 4,200-square-foot, two-story CQB Shoot House has 21 distinct training spaces and a 70-foot observation catwalk. It supports non-live-fire scenario training only; live fire is not permitted inside. Activities depend on the course and instructor direction.

Medical, Support and Community Spaces.

The Medical Aid Station, Dining Facility, Supply and Central Issue Facility, Patriot Exchange and Snip-N-Clip Barber Shop support the training experience. The on-site pool provides recreation for appropriate Advanced-program activities.

PARTNER AND OFF-SITE RESOURCES

Training Can Extend
Beyond the Camp.

Some courses use nearby or partner venues for activities such as training-pool instruction, additional range work, high-ropes activities, tower or mountain rappelling and larger field exercises. These venues are distinct from Camp Liberty's owned, on-site facilities.

Access, transportation, venue assignments and activity schedules depend on the course, agreements and training requirements. A named activity in a program overview does not mean every Challenger uses every venue. Family-event locations and seasonal arrangements ↗
