New Recruit or Returning Cadet?

New Recruit families may explore eligible discounts, outside grants and community sponsorship below. Outside funding is separate from XMC and is subject to the provider’s approval and available funds.
Three Scholarships. 50% Of Tuition.
Campaign Pay it Forward’s XMC announcement offers three scholarships covering 50% of tuition for returning Cadets. The listed course options are:
A Missouri Military Academy Scholarship Opportunity.
Qualified graduates of XMC’s four-week programs are eligible for an $8,000 scholarship to Missouri Military Academy. The opportunity is for subsequent attendance at Missouri Military Academy; it does not pay XMC tuition or guarantee admission. The Academy’s admission and scholarship terms apply.
Some military families, including families of new Recruits, may qualify for outside youth-enrichment support. These are independent programs. Check eligibility, the application window, available funding and whether the provider will approve your selected XMC course before making financial plans.
Our Military Kids
Grants of up to $300 per eligible child, per grant, can support approved extracurricular activities, including camps. The program covers children ages 1–18 or who have not yet graduated from high school. Its two eligibility routes cover qualifying deployed or activated National Guard and Reserve families, and families of combat-injured service members or veterans receiving care.
Eligibility, camp/provider approval and available funding are determined by Our Military Kids.
The Youth Enrichment Program supports eligible Coast Guard dependent children’s summer and enrichment activities. Check the next application window, current eligibility and available funds directly with the Foundation.
The published 2026 application window was April 1–August 31 and has closed. A 2027 application window or award amount is not confirmed here.
An outside grant or scholarship does not guarantee course acceptance or reserve a place. Follow XMC’s course eligibility, enrollment and payment requirements.

Families may approach local veterans’ organizations, civic groups, businesses, churches or community organizations about sponsorship. Each organization decides whether it can help. A listing here does not indicate an affiliation with XMC, a scholarship offer or guaranteed assistance.
Children of current Active Duty, Reserve or National Guard personnel qualify. Children of military personnel, including veterans, who received the Purple Heart or the Bronze Star or a higher award for valor also qualify. Supporting documentation and advance approval are required.

Request a Discount Code Before Enrolling.
Request a discount code from Admissions before enrolling. For a military or law-enforcement discount, submit proof of service with your request: a redacted DD-214, NGB 22, or law-enforcement ID card, as applicable. Providing proof with the request helps expedite approval. Confirm the selected course/package’s eligibility and obtain the approved code before completing enrollment.
When approaching a veterans’ organization, civic group or business, explain why you want to attend, the course you have chosen, what you will learn and how you plan to serve your community. Offer to volunteer, help fundraise or return to share what you learned.
Prepare a short presentation with your goal, the amount you are seeking and a simple training plan. Practice speaking clearly and answering questions. Community support is decided by each organization and does not replace our admissions requirements.
