PART OF THE EXPERIENCE

A Clear Standard
From the Start.

Discuss the haircut requirement together before enrolling. It should be understood and accepted before a Challenger arrives.

01 / MALE RECRUITS

The Receiving Day Crewcut.

All male Recruits receive a Recruit-style crewcut at Camp Liberty on Receiving Day, also called R-Day. There are no exceptions.

02 / RETURNING MALE CADETS

Report Ready for Training.

Returning male Cadets must arrive with a regulation haircut. Returning Cadet haircuts cost $15 each and are paid for by the Cadet. An unsatisfactory arrival haircut will be replaced with a Recruit-style haircut before putting on the uniform.

03 / DURING TRAINING

Maintain the Standard.

Every subsequent haircut after Cadet Basic Training costs $15 and is paid for by the Cadet. Haircuts are typically needed every two weeks. Follow Cadre direction and the program’s grooming standards throughout training.

A Familiar Stop
On R-Day.

The Snip-N-Clip provides an on-site setting for the required arrival haircut. Its two-chair interior is part of the Camp Liberty facilities supporting the XMC experience.

Haircuts and access to the shop follow the camp schedule and Cadre direction. Families should follow their receiving instructions for arrival arrangements.
