A DAY AT XMC
A Full Day.
A Clear Purpose.
Structured days balance physical training, instruction, field activities, personal preparation and military traditions.

A REPRESENTATIVE ROUTINE
Full Days.
Shared Responsibility.
The published sample includes morning and evening Med Call, personal hygiene and hygiene checks, barracks preparation, inspections, training, Retreat and Mail Call. Company time may rotate groups between self-defense instruction, letter writing and cleaning responsibilities.
The 2026 routine includes one-hour, two-person Fire Watch shifts with a Battle Buddy after lights out, typically on an every-other-night rotation for each Recruit or Cadet. Assignments, timing and frequency follow the course's actual duty roster and Cadre instructions. Ranger, field-training and atypical courses can have a different routine.
A qualified adult Staff Duty Officer remains responsible overnight. Cadets are not assigned as overnight Staff Duty Officer, and Fire Watch does not replace adult duty coverage. Accountability checks occur at Retreat, Taps and at least once overnight.
Quiet hours run from Taps to Reveille, with authorization required for late training. Assigned Fire Watch and authorized field training can interrupt the usual sleep period. Read the Overnight Supervision & Recovery Standards ↗
Med Call times are medical-support windows, used as directed; individuals' appointments can overlap other scheduled activities. Medication approval and administration instructions govern, and the medical administration surcharge is shown in CampMinder when enrolling.
