The Extreme Military Challenge! (XMC) Military Summer Camp, operated by Liberty Communications, LLC, is the premier military leadership and career exploration training program of its kind, attracting motivated young men and women from across the United States and around the world. Each summer, Cadets travel to Camp Liberty to participate in realistic, challenging, and rewarding training that develops leadership, confidence, discipline, and practical life skills.

Unlike a traditional summer camp, XMC is built around career exploration. Every course is designed to introduce Cadets to a specific career field through hands-on training led by experienced military personnel, first responders, healthcare professionals, engineers, and other subject matter experts. Rather than simply learning about these professions in a classroom, Cadets experience them firsthand in a structured military training environment.

Whether a Cadet is interested in military service, emergency medicine, engineering, law enforcement, search and rescue, leadership, or public service, XMC offers multiple pathways that allow participants to explore future careers while developing the character and leadership skills that employers, colleges, and military organizations value.

Our specialized programs are offered as two-week and three-week courses, allowing families to build a summer experience that matches each Cadet's interests and goals. Many participants attend for multiple courses during a single summer, while others return year after year to continue advancing through increasingly challenging programs.

All recruits must begin with Cadet Basic Training, where they learn military customs, teamwork, self-discipline, and personal responsibility. From there, they can progress into advanced programs such as the Cadet Field Leader Course, Advanced Cadet Field Leader Course, Cadet Medic School, Cadet Engineer Course, Cadet Military Police Academy, Cadet Search and Rescue Academy, and Cadet Ranger School. Each course builds upon previous training, creating a progressive pathway of personal and professional development.

It is common for Cadets to return to Camp Liberty for several summers, building upon previous accomplishments while pursuing new career exploration opportunities, advanced leadership training, and specialized qualifications. Many of our most successful Cadet leaders began as first-time participants and continued progressing through the program year after year.

Whether attending for the first time or returning for another summer of advanced training, every Cadet leaves Camp Liberty with greater confidence, stronger leadership skills, lasting friendships, and valuable experiences that prepare them for success in college, military service, public safety, or any future career.
